Found an animal in trouble?
If you have found an injured, trapped or vulnerable animal in West Wales or nearby, we will talk you through the next step.
Call us first
Tell us what you have seen, exactly where you are, and whether the animal can still move.
01
Keep yourself safe
Do not stop on a blind bend or put yourself in traffic. An injured animal can bite or scratch even when it looks still.
02
Call us
07492 888175. Tell us what you have seen, exactly where you are, and whether the animal can still move.
03
Contain if you can
A box, a towel, and a quiet place out of the wind is often enough until we arrive. Do not offer cow’s milk to wildlife.
04
Stay if it is safe
If you can wait nearby, it helps us find the animal quickly. If you cannot, leave a clear landmark and your number.
What to tell us
Be ready with a few details
This helps us understand the situation and get the right help to the right place.
What animal?
e.g. cat, dog, bird, hedgehog, etc.
Exact location
Nearest postcode, landmark or what3words if possible.
Condition and movement
Injured, trapped, orphaned? Can it still move?
If your query isn't time sensitive, you can also send us a message and we'll come back to you as soon as we can.
