  • Set direction

Help shape our vision, strategy and long-term goals.

  • Good governance

Ensure we're well run, transparent and compliant with charity law.

  • Make an impact

Use your skills and experience to support real change for animals.

  • Be part of a supportive team

Work with other trustees and our dedicated volunteers.

Who we're looking for

We welcome people from all backgrounds. We're particularly interested in people with experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Animal welfare and rescue
  • Charity governance or legal experience
  • Finance, accounting or fundraising
  • Communications, marketing or PR
  • IT, data or digital tools
  • Community engagement and partnerships
  • Operations, HR or organisational development

You don't need to be an expert in everything. Enthusiasm, a genuine passion for animal welfare and a willingness to contribute are just as important.

Why it matters

As a trustee, you'll help ensure we can rescue, care for and rehome animals, while building a sustainable future for Wild & Kind.

What to expect

  • Meetings

Around 4–6 meetings a year (mostly online, with some in person).

  • Time commitment

A few hours per month, plus preparation time.

  • A supportive team

  • A clear induction
